This one-day trip to Yosemite was better that expected. Our driver Sam was punctual and exuberant. She commentated on the places we passed on our way to Yosemite and gave a brief history of the gold rush, which kept us awake! The coach afforded comfortable seating which made the 4-hour journey seem shorter and enjoyable. I must say that we made the right decision to take this 1-day trip even though we were pressed for time. The only "gripe" we have is that we didn't get to see the beautiful glaciers we heard about.
Really good trip. Very informative guide. Considerate and calm when someone felt sick on a windy mountain road. Exhausting but super day trip.
I really enjoyed the trip just wish we had more time at the park.
My day trip to Yosemite national park was definitely worth it. Jacine, our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the park and the surrounding areas. She was a safe a driver and gave us ample time to wonder around on our own. The day was long but is to be expected considering how big the park is. It was absolutely a must-see especially if you don't have a lot of time and can't spread it over a few days. Thank you!
5 Stars! Great. Really appreciated the ride with Mike - great guide and very helpful.
Enjoyed the Yosemite One Day Trip. Missed the Bridal Veil Waterfall though.
Due to the amount of things to visit in the park it is a little short, but for such a long trip you can not ask for more. The guide was very good and knowledgeable. Very gentle and had good will. If you love nature, I definitely recommend it.
It was awesome! And the guide is very funny and kind!
Fantastic day, great way to see Yosemite when time in California is limited. Long day but worth every minute.
Fun event- great sites of the park. The driver did not talk too much during the ride- but it was enjoyable to relax, nap, read.
that was great. great tour and nice & kind guide who was chris f(?). thank u, guide guy!
The Yosemite trip was wonderful! The park itself is majestic; and we had a terrific guide in Bryan, who is extremely knowledgeable about Yosemite and the history of the area. We booked three tours through GuideYou.com, Alcatraz, Napa and Sonoma, and Yosemite; and enjoyed all of them. GuideYou.com is a terrific place to start in that it brings many tours together under one site and is a great introduction to the many wonderful sites and adventures in the San Francisco area. Thank you!
Friendly and kind.
We had a wonderful time and our tour guide, Mitch, was very knowledgeable and engaging. The one thing that would make this trip better is if a visit to the sequoia grove could have been I corporate into the 1-day tour.
It was very wonderful experience! I really never imagine this great trip. Thanks Mike, my guide! :)
Great trip but expect a long day. Mitch, our guide, was quite interesting but the four and one half hours there and then back was a lot. Mitch tried to make the ride interesting but there is only so much you can say over this time span. When we got there, we had about four hours on our own and were able to do some hiking to sights and used the shuttle to help get around. If you only have one day to see Yosemite, this is a hundred times better than a big bus tour but if you can stay over that's the way to see it
This is a small group tour by minicoach which offers more time in the park (5 -6 hours) and greater flexibility than large bus tours. In a small van you'll see places in the park that the large buses can't reach!
Upon early morning pickup between 6:15-7am, this tour takes you east across the Oakland Bay Bridge with stunning views of the San Francisco skyline, Alcatraz Island, Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Next you'll pass through the Central Valley where much of our country’s agriculture is grown. There's a stop at a fruit stand to enjoy local produce! After this quick rest stop the van begins winding up through the foothills of the Sierra Nevada and into the mountains where you'll see the California Gold Country and the 49ers gold rush town of Groveland (alternative route maybe used during winter and heavy weather days).
Then it's on to Yosemite National Park, often referred to as one of America’s national treasures.
There is a one hour narrated tour with all the highlights of the park including the 2,425-foot Yosemite Falls*, the highest fall in North America and Bridalveil Fall*, often the first watefall you will see when entering the Park, (*note: Yosemite Falls & Bridalveil Fall do not flow between early to mid August until first winter / early spring rain), the granite building blocks of the Sierra Nevada: El Capitan, Cathedral Rock, Three Brothers, Royal Arches, Half Dome and Clouds Rest. and the breathtaking Inspiration Point, 4,500 feet above sea level.
After the tour the minicoach will stop for the afternoon in Yosemite Village where there are a variety of options for lunch (not included). After eating you will have 3-4 hours of free time to explore the valley as you choose: walk to the base of Yosemite Falls*, check out the Visitor Center, visit the Ansel Adams Gallery, stop in at the Majestice Yosemite Hotel, or bike or hike the trails that originate from the valley.
This one day tour will focus on the rock formations and waterfalls in the Yosemite Valley. The majestic beauty of the park is world famous. There will be many amazing photo opportunites! On the drive back to the city we drive through the Merced River corridor along the Beautiful Merced River. A fantastic sunset on the way back to the Bay Area completes your day.
This is a small group tour, biodiesel minicoaches accommodate up to 33 passengers. Minicoaches have air conditioning and will make regular rest stops.
Tours include entry fees, hotel pickup and drop off at many hotels. Driving route subject to change without prior notice.
