If an absolutely free cultural performance in the heart of downtown San Francisco sounds like a good idea, head for Yerba Buena Park between Mission Street and Howard Street, from Third Street to Fourth Street. From May through October, dozens of events are presented on the outdoor stage during weekday lunchtimes and on the weekends.

Both the Powell and Montgomery BART and Muni stations are within two blocks of Yerba Buena Gardens. Also, Muni bus lines 14, 30, Stockton, 45, and all the routes along Market Street stop nearby.
